ECo and Barri Studio (Barcelona) teamed up to deliver this winning competition entry for a new 5 acre park in Blanes. Under the name “Parc Biopluvial” this area is regraded and the new park captures runoff water through a bioswale that pours into a sculptural collection basin. Through thoughtful topographic modification and a well-crafted planting scheme, the park will have a rich diversity of programmatic components and plant communities.

Phase I of the park was completed in 2024 and Phase II is scheduled to be completed by mid-2025.
