Recent history has shown us that repeating non-creative ideas in diverse scenarios usually means repeating mistakes. We believe in a pro-active ideas approach to design challenges, where any of our clients’ or served communities’ concerns is an opportunity for innovation. We believe that through creative and critical thinking we can tackle the challenges of contemporary life, an ever-changing climate, complex ecologies, and challenging urban and social contexts, and design better, more resilient environments for the future.

The current costs of living, infrastructure, maintenance and general well-being is in many ways affected by our understanding of our relationship with nature and how our world is planned and designed because of it. Through careful consideration of sustainable environmental practices in our design we strive to create better surroundings that not only reduce the impact on the environment and the cost of infrastructure but also enhance the quality of living. We incorporate into every project carefully crafted and imaginative solutions for green infrastructure, storm water management, building envelopes, site amenities and thoughtful planting schemes. We seek to create better communities with a high standard quality of life, regardless of the economic level of the end users.

Every built or planned project, no matter the scale or typology, serves a community. We believe that only by thoroughly understanding the community a project will serve, can we design the best possible project. We also understand that a group of people is not a community until they have a sense of ownership over space. At ECo we believe that planning and design of well balanced, democratic spaces is crucial to the creation of better communities. Whether the community served is a school, employees, or a residential grouping, we always try our best to take their needs and turn them into solutions that will enhance their quality of life.
