Edmundo R. Colón Izquierdo ASLA AIA

Edmundo is both an architect and a landscape architect. His professional work encompasses a broad range of project types and scales, in Puerto Rico, Mainland USA, Europe, Japan, and the Middle East. For the past 20 years, His work has been featured in magazines and newspapers both locally and abroad and has received awards by the AIA and the ASLA, locally and at the national level.

Concerned with the role of landscape architects in the design and implementation of resilient infrastructure, especially after the 2017 hurricane season, his recent endeavors have focused on advocacy and community engagement related to the lack of agency Puerto Ricans face in front of federal agencies and disaster economics.

Edmundo is a Licensed Landscape Architect and Architect, a Certified Forestry and Planting Professional, and a 2020-21 Landscape Architecture Foundation Fellow.

Edmundo Colón Arizmendi, PE

Edmundo has over 45 years of professional engineering experience holding several roles that include design, engineering, permitting, planning and project development. Throughout his career, he has held important positions in both the public and private sector. His formative years at the former State Permitting Office (ARPE), an agency he eventually led, prepared him to spearhead the most challenging permit processes for complex site development projects. With his former firm, CDQ+A, he led the practice through complex development projects that required design and coordination of public and private infrastructure, road design and earthwork.

Edmundo is a Professional engineer and a member of the Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores de Puerto Rico (CIAPR).
